Honda Mobilio Launching on 23rd July 2014

The Honda Mobilio is just around the corner...

The wait is almost over. Honda’s first MPV match against its Japanese counterparts - the sensible Eritga, the spacious Innova and the struggling Evalia is going to be like the games of thrones. No, not that discording TV nonsense with all the human emotions wrapped into one confusing mess. It is actually going to be a game of thrones for the evolving MPV market.

Under-the-hood...

With the same diesel motor which powers the Brio and the Amaze, it will run rings around the turbo-lagged engines powering the competition. When compared to the Ertiga’s diesel power-plant, the Honda is more powerful. When compared to the Innova’s huge 2.5 litre diesel motor, the Honda is much more economical to run and maintain. On the petrol front, the Mobilio is powered by the same brilliant engine found under the City’s hood.

Inside the cabin...

Honda’s clever packaging has always been one of the USPs. The Mobilio is no exception. Built on the same platform as the Brio, albeit with a lot of steroids up its back side, the Mobilio is more roomier than the Ertiga and the Evalia. The Innova is bigger and more comfortable but here the price bracket will come into play.

The Icing on the cake...

With all the usual variants of the diesel and petrol versions, India might just get another variant by the tag RS. This, in the international market, is distinguished by more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers, new and sportier chrome teeth on its face, different headlights with High Intensity Discharge (HID) projector lamps and LED accents, chrome exhaust and a sportier back design. On the inside, it is a bit more loaded than the other top-end variants of the Mobilio. With a big touchscreen infotainment system, reversing camera and a couple of tweeters to add to the count of speakers.

EXCITED?
